Cougar Tales
Cougar History
Caldwell Middle School is one of eight middle schools in the Terrebonne Parish School System. In 1974, Roussel-Hart General Contractors built Caldwell Middle based off the design of Razzo, Thibodeaux, and Associates, Inc. Located on approximately ten acres of donated land by Vernon Caldwell, Caldwell Middle can be found near the historic Bayou Terrebonne.
Initially, Caldwell Middle School provided instruction to students in 5th through 8th grade. However, in 1985, the eighth grade students were relocated to Evergreen Junior High School, and fourth grade students were moved from Schriever School to Caldwell. Just short of two decades, another change came to Caldwell. In 2013, seventh grade students were also moved to Evergreen Junior High School. Now, Caldwell Middle School provides instruction for 4th through 6th grade.
